Search recent additions, sorted by date - Google Scholar Blog

There is a nice addition to Google Scholar to help sort by date.  Enter your search term and hit enter like usual, then click the "recent additions" link on the lower left filter options. The search results will change, showing the most recently added articles at the top. You can also see when the page was added to the index, displayed in front of the Description snippet of the search results, Eg "X days ago...".

Note in the picture below the blended search results include several Google Books at the top of the results.
